TRAN.SCENDER　HOTELさまは、横浜中華街の中心部にあるホテルです。もともと、横浜開港以来数多くの国の人や文化を受け入れて街の姿が変わっていく中華街のこの場所には、長らく飲食店が存在しました。そこに転換されたTRAN.SCENDER　HOTELさまは、街に新たな活気をもたらす存在になることを目指されています。

そんな想いを込めたカタログ2種は、一つがホテルの紹介ブック、もう一つが中華街のガイドブックとなっています。紹介ブックのほうは、ホテルの施設などをコンセプト面含めてハイセンスな雰囲気で紹介しています。ガイドブックのほうは、単なるお店紹介ではなく、ピックアップしたお店のオーナーさんのインタビュー形式を多く取り入れた印象深い構成です。

本の体裁自体も、表紙に半透明の特殊紙・ＮＴパイルを採用。少々癖のある紙ですが、当社なら全く問題なく進行していきます。本文にはラフながら良質な発色が確保できるモンテルキアを使っているので、その下の絵柄が表紙から透けてうかがえます。当社の標準200線の印刷は他社さまより高精細ですが、この程度のラフ紙でも問題なく展開できます。写真の色味は、プリンティングディレクター（ＰＤ）も絡んで品質的な確認を入れ、表紙には特色を使って印象深く作成しています。

新たな中華街の時代を拓いていくTRAN.SCENDER　HOTELさまにふさわしいカタログになったと思います。

TRAN.SCENDER HOTEL: Dual-Catalog Set
TRAN.SCENDER HOTEL is located in the heart of Yokohama Chinatown. Historically, this site hosted various restaurants, witnessing the evolution of Chinatown as it embraced diverse cultures since the opening of the Port of Yokohama. Now transformed into TRAN.SCENDER HOTEL, the establishment aims to breathe new energy into the district.

The set consists of two catalogs reflecting this vision: a hotel brochure and a Chinatown guidebook. The brochure introduces the hotel facilities and core concepts with a sophisticated, high-end aesthetic. In contrast, the guidebook moves beyond simple shop listings, featuring an evocative layout centered on interviews with local business owners.

Regarding technical production, we selected “NT Pile,” a semi-transparent specialty paper, for the cover. While this paper requires precise handling, our expertise ensured a seamless production process. For the interior pages, we used “Montelucia,” which provides a tactile, rough texture while ensuring vibrant color reproduction. This allows the artwork on the first page to peek through the translucent cover elegantly. Even on this rough-textured stock, our standard 200-line high-definition printing—which offers superior detail compared to industry standards—delivered crisp, high-quality results. Furthermore, our Printing Director (PD) oversaw the color management of the photography, and spot colors were applied to the cover to create a striking visual impact.

These catalogs are a fitting tribute to TRAN.SCENDER HOTEL as they pioneer a new era for Yokohama Chinatown.
