日本写真企画様より発売の、鈴木サトル氏の写真集『フクザツ』を印刷しました。

鈴木サトル氏は「ドラマ」を常に追い求める写真家です。ドラマチックなことがそうそう起こらない何気ない日常ですら、撮り方見せ方で、何でもない一瞬をドラマ化できる。それが鈴木サトル氏のスナップ写真のテーマとなっています。

今回の写真集『フクザツ』はコロナ禍も収束に向かおうとする東京の渋谷・原宿をメインに撮影をされています。世の中になんとなく流れる不安定な空気感が、言葉にならない言葉を発しているようにも感じ、何ともフクザツなものばかりを好んで撮ってしまった。しかしこれがこの時代のリアルであり、ドラマであり、鈴木氏自身であり、その中にある何ともあいまいだが正直な領域には、嘘のない美しさがある、とおっしゃっています。

写真集発売とともにキヤノンギャラリー銀座で写真展も開催されました。

今回の写真集とキヤノンギャラリー銀座で行われた写真展は、ともにブラックの背景を用いました。それによって、写真集と写真展の統一された世界観を演出しています。写真集ではブラックの背景を表現するのに余白部分にスミ刷りをし、さらに別刷りでスミ刷り部分のみマットニスを重ねることで写真の光沢感との質感の差を出しています。もちろん、当社プリンティングディレクター（PD）が全面にわたって写真集印刷のクオリティコントロールを行っています。

表紙用紙にはニューウェブロンカラー黒を用い、銀刷りの上にタイトルのみレインボー箔を使った箔押しをすることで、フクザツな輝きを放っています。

用紙の選定、印刷・加工の手法によって、まさに『フクザツ』のタイトル通りの写真集が出来上がりました。

We have printed Satoru Suzuki’s photo book “Fukuzatsu” published by Nippon Shashin Kikaku.

Satoru Suzuki is a photographer who is always in pursuit of “drama.” Even in ordinary everyday life where dramatic things don’t happen very often, you can turn an ordinary moment into a drama by changing the way you shoot and present it. This is the theme of Satoru Suzuki’s snapshots.

This photo book “Fukuzatsu” is mainly shot in Shibuya and Harajuku, Tokyo, where the coronavirus pandemic is about to come to an end. I felt like the unstable atmosphere that was flowing through the world was uttering words that couldn’t be put into words, so I ended up preferring to only take photos of things that were strange. However, this is the reality of this era, this is the drama, and this is Mr. Suzuki himself, and he says that there is beauty without lies in the ambiguous yet honest realm within it.

Along with the release of the photo book, a photo exhibition was also held at Canon Gallery Ginza.

This photo book and the photo exhibition held at Canon Gallery Ginza both used a black background. This creates a unified worldview of photo books and photo exhibitions. In the photo book, we use ink marks in the margins to express the black background, and then use matte varnish on the ink areas in a separate print to create a difference in texture from the gloss of the photo. Of course, our Printing Director (PD) performs full quality control of photo book printing.

The cover paper is New Webron Color black, and only the title is stamped with rainbow foil on top of the silver printing, giving it a unique shine.

Through the selection of paper and printing and processing methods, we were able to create a photo book that exactly lives up to its title, “Fukuzatu.”
