写真家の山岸伸氏が2007年から撮影を続けているポートレート写真展の写真集『KAO　日本の顔　scene1141-1225』を今年も印刷させていただきました。

山岸氏が経済界や芸能界など各界の多数の著名人の方々を2007年から撮影しつづけ、今日に至る『KAO　日本の顔』シリーズ。その数なんと1225名に達しておりますが、今回は前回以降に撮影した84名分を掲載しています。今回もまた山岸氏がそれぞれの人物像が生きるようなシチュエーションで、それぞれの方の最高の一瞬を捉えて撮影しています。

ずっと担当させていただいている当社プリンティングディレクターは、山岸氏からその状況から人物像までも聞き取りを行い、写真に対する山岸氏のニュアンスを汲み取って意に沿った色調補正を行わせていただいております。この辺りは、長年携わらせていればこその蓄積でもあるのでしょう。今回もモデルとなった人々の魅力を引き出しながら、一冊の写真集として山岸氏ご本人も満足いく出来とすることができました。

2025年7月に東京のニューオータニガーデンコートで開催された恒例の写真展『顔』では、山岸氏ご本人がこの写真集を展覧会観覧の方に配布されて、多くの方の手に渡ってご好評を得ております。

This year as well, we have printed the photo book “KAO Face of Japan scene 1141-1225” from the portrait photo exhibition that photographer Shin Yamagishi has been photographing since 2007.

Since 2007, Mr. Yamagishi has been photographing many celebrities from various fields such as the business world and the entertainment world, and the series “KAO: Face of Japan” continues to this day. The number has reached 1225 people, but this time we are posting 84 people photographed since the last time. Once again, Mr. Yamagishi captures each person’s best moments in situations where each person’s image comes to life.

Our printing director, who has been in charge for a long time, listens to Mr. Yamagishi about the situation and the character, understands Mr. Yamagishi’s nuances about the photo, and makes color corrections according to his wishes. This is probably something that has been accumulated over the years. This time as well, we were able to bring out the charm of the people who became the models, and create a photo book that Mr. Yamagishi himself was satisfied with.

At the annual photo exhibition “Face” held at the New Otani Garden Court in Tokyo in July 2025, Mr. Yamagishi himself distributed this photo book to the people viewing the exhibition, and it has been well received by many people.
