日本写真家協会の副会長でもいらっしゃる写真家の山口規子さんの写真集『KIKORI　木は長い夢を見る』を製作させていただきました。

青森県新郷村にて自らの山を持ち、毎日山へ入り、木々の手入れを欠かさなかった石ヶ守勲さんは、山を愛し、山を大切にしている本物のキコリでした。そんな石ケ守さんを写真家の山口さんが撮り続け、新郷村の美しい生活風景とともにまとめられたのが、このドキュメンタリー写真集『KIKORI　木は長い夢を見る』です。

写真家山口さんの作品の特徴である重厚感を統一的に引き出すために、まず当社プリンティングディレクター（ＰＤ）がアートディレクターの三村漢さんとともに製版設計を行いました。そして写真の臨場感を引き出すためにＰＤがデータ補正の指示を一点一点出し、印刷時には山口さんと三村さんにもご参加いただきながら、ＰＤが印刷トータルディレクションを行っています。

We have produced the photo book “KIKORI: Trees Dream of Long Dreams” by Noriko Yamaguchi, a photographer who is also the vice president of the Japan Photographers Association.

Mr. Isao Ishigamori, who owned his own mountain in Shingo Village, Aomori Prefecture, went into the mountain every day and took care of the trees.He was a true woodcutter who loved and cherished the mountains. Photographer Yamaguchi continued to photograph Mr. Ishigamori, and the documentary photo book “KIKORI: Trees Dream of Long Dreams” was compiled together with the beautiful life scenes of Shingo Village.

In order to uniformly bring out the profound feeling that characterizes photographer Yamaguchi’s work, our printing director (PD) first designed the plate-making together with art director Han Mimura. In order to bring out the realism of the photos, the PD issues data correction instructions one by one, and the PD provides total printing direction, with the participation of Mr. Yamaguchi and Mr. Mimura during printing.
